Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Six months of healthcare experience recommended; Banner Registry/Travel requires one year in an acute care hospital setting.
• Excellent organizational, human relations, and communication skills.
• Experience in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Unit Aide in the specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Inventories, orders, replenishes, and disperses supplies within the department, ensuring carts and areas are stocked.
• Transports patients, health records, lab specimens, and equipment as needed.
• Maintains and cleans equipment and trays; ensures sterile packaging integrity and accessibility.
• Provides basic, hands-on patient care including patient transport and ambulation.
• Offers general department support, greeting and assisting patients, visitors, physicians, and staff; backup for Monitor Techs as needed.
