Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Tucson is seeking a Unit Aide to support the surgical team by maintaining a clean, organized, and ready operating environment. You will stock supplies, assist with patient transport, and help prepare rooms for procedures.

This weekend-days role requires Active BLS CPR, a willingness to work in a fast-paced, level-one trauma hospital, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines to deliver safe patient care. You may also assist with light administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Certification for BLS is required.
• Typically six months of healthcare experience.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Stock and distribute medical supplies for the unit.
• Transport patients and health records, specimens, and equipment.
• Prepare rooms and carts, ensure sterile packaging and expiry checks.
• Provide basic patient care as directed by supervisor.
• Assist with department administration and greet patients and visitors.
• Back-up support for Monitor Techs if trained.
