Job summary

Banner Health is seeking an Operating Room Unit Aide for the surgical team at Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix. You will help maintain a clean, organized OR environment, stock supplies, transport patients and support staff in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role involves cleaning after surgeries, inventory management, and occasional administrative tasks. Acknowledges six months healthcare experience and BLS certification; schedule includes shifts from 6am and a typical 2:30pm-11pm

Qualifications

• Certification for BLS is required.
• Requires six months healthcare experience.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology is required.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inventories, orders, replenishes, and disperses supplies.
• Maintains unit equipment, instruments and trays; cleans and prepares items.
• Performs room setup, cleaning, and disposal of waste and linen.
• Provides basic patient transport and ambulation as requested.
• Greet visitors, assist patients and support department staff as needed.
