Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida is seeking a Per Diem Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic echocardiography and vascular ultrasound exams. The role requires operating ultrasound equipment, ensuring high-quality images, and maintaining accurate patient records in a fast-paced imaging department.

Qualified candidates should have an Associate's degree (preferred) in cardiovascular sonography, RDCS/RVT/RCS/RVS or equivalent, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform a full range of diagnostic echocardiogram and/or vascular ultrasound procedures.
• Must operate ultrasound systems and use measurement packages for anatomy and function.
• Must read, write and speak English and communicate clearly with patients and staff.
• BLS certification required; RDCS/RVT/RCS/RVS or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex ultrasound studies including echocardiography and vascular exams.
• Ensures high-quality images and accurate patient data in records.
• Coordinates scheduling, insurance verification, and billing activities as needed.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized department and restocks supplies.
• Communicates abnormal findings to physicians and assists in interpretation.
