Job summary

Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA is seeking a cardiac ultrasound technologist to perform echo, stress echo, and transesophageal (TEE) procedures. You will also handle contrast imaging and provide clerical support as needed, while maintaining patient safety and high-quality care.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited cardiac ultrasound program with current CPR certification and ARDMS RDCS (or registry-eligible) credentials, and has at least one year of experience

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited cardiac ultrasound program or equivalent on-the-job training from an echo Laboratory, preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience preferred.
• Active status in good standing: Registered by the ARDMS or registry eligible as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS, Adult), or with CCI/NBCVT as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
• CPR card current.

Responsibilities

• Performs Echo, stress echo (to include exercise and dobutamine), transesophageal (TEE) echoes, and contrast imaging as appropriate.
• Performs general secretarial/receptionist duties as needed.
• Promotes and maintains a safe work environment for staff and patients in line with national patient safety initiatives.
