Job summary

St. Johns Hospital, part of the Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) in Springfield, IL, seeks a qualified ultrasound specialist to perform adult and pediatric echocardiograms including TTE, TEE, and stress studies. Requires RDCS/RCS or eligibility and BLS, with 40-hour weeks and day shifts.

Graduate or enrollment in an allied health program is required; an associates degree is preferred. Sign-on bonus of $20,000 is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• RDCS or RCS certification (or eligible) required with registry within 6 months of hire.
• Associates degree in allied health or completion of a certificate program preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform adult and/or pediatric transthoracic, transesophageal and stress echocardiograms.
• Operate ultrasound instruments and manipulate images for diagnostic utility.
• Apply knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology and hemodynamics.
