Job summary

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts invites applications for a part-time Ultrasound Cardiac Technology Program Lab Instructor at our Fresno, CA campus. Under supervision, you will support students in the lab, coordinate with Program Heads, and help implement clinically-based scanning protocols.

A strong background in sonography and education is expected. Responsibilities include maintaining lab inventories, assisting with student assessments, and providing tutoring and mentorship to learners.

Qualifications

• AS Degree required; BS Degree preferred.
• ARDMS and RDCS certifications.
• Current licensure in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years as a staff sonographer.
• Experience in educational institutions preferable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory of all supplies, equipment, AV materials, and laboratory manuals.
• Monitor maintenance of lab equipment and ensure cleanliness and efficiency of the lab.
• Provide technical support to Program Director and Faculty.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate lab experiences; organize accordingly.
• Assist faculty with scanning protocols and grading student performance.
• Maintain and file competency checklists; complete paperwork as needed.
• Provide tutoring, mentoring, and one-on-one sessions with students as directed.

This is an on campus position.Job Type: Part-timeHourly Pay Range: $45.00 – $50.00 per hourDays & Hours: Monday’s, 8:00AM-4:30PMBasic FunctionUnder direct supervision, the Lab Instructor position works with Program Heads (Program Coordinator, Supervisor, and/or Director in providing support to students in their lab experiences. This role will interact directly with Faculty and Students based on the needs of the Program Head.
