Job summary

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts seeks an Ultrasound Cardiac Technology Lab Instructor for its Van Nuys, CA campus. This on-campus role supports students in lab experiences under the Program Head and Faculty.

Required: ARDMS/RDCS certifications, current licensure, and 3+ years as a staff sonographer; AS/BS degrees preferred. Responsibilities include lab maintenance, protocol development, student tutoring, and grading.

Qualifications

• AS or BS in Sonography or related field per program requirement.
• ARDMS and RDCS certifications required or preferred.
• Current licensure in good standing in the discipline.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a staff sonographer in imaging facilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory of all supplies, equipment, AV materials, and lab manuals.
• Monitor and ensure cleanliness and efficiency of the Skills Lab equipment.
• Provide technical support to Program Director and Faculty.
• Assist in planning, implementation, and evaluation of lab experiences.
• Assist faculty with development and implementation of scanning protocols.
• Assist faculty in grading student performance and lab assignments.
• Monitor and report student performance to faculty, including grading scans.
• Assist in advising documentation and tutoring sessions for students.

This role will interact directly with Faculty and Students based on the needs of the Program Head.
