Job summary

UVA Health's Cardiac Transition Unit is seeking a Cardiac Cath Technician to support patients recovering from cardiovascular procedures. You will work with a collaborative cardiovascular care team, performing hands-on patient care and specialized post-procedural tasks to ensure safe transitions home.

The role emphasizes teamwork with nurses, continuous skill development, and opportunities to contribute to growing cardiovascular services in Charlottesville.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification is required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document vital signs, intake and output, and patient weights.
• Ambulate patients and support safe mobility.
• Assist with specialized pre-procedure and post-procedural care.
• Partner with the assigned RN to ensure seamless patient care.
• Support patient flow and maintain efficient unit operations.
