UVA Health in Charlottesville is seeking a Cardiac Cath Technician to join the Cardiac Transition Unit. You will work with nurses and providers, applying advanced skills in a fast-paced cardiovascular environment to support patient recovery and discharge planning.

This role emphasizes hands-on patient care, collaboration, and ongoing clinical skill development. The unit is expanding to accommodate more overnight patients, offering growth opportunities within a Magnet-recognized center.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Experience: No experience required.
• Licensure: AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining and documenting vital signs, intake and output measurements, and patient weights.
• Ambulating patients and supporting safe mobility.
• Assisted with specialized pre- procedure care.
• Assisting with specialized post-procedural care.
• Partnering closely with the assigned RN to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
• Supporting patient flow and helping maintain efficient unit operations.
