Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a versatile Cardiac Transition Unit RN to support patients across pre-procedure, recovery, and inpatient preparation workflows. You will blend hands-on nursing with procedural exposure and cross-team coordination to deliver comprehensive cardiac care beyond traditional unit roles.

Ideal candidates will have 1 year of relevant experience, BSN with eventual requirement within 5 years, Virginia RN licensure and AHA BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• BSN required within 5 years of hire.
• 1 year of relevant nursing experience.
• Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in Virginia; AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the pre-procedure, recovery, and transition phases of cardiac care.
• Support cardiology procedures such as cardioversion and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE).
• Assist with ICPC workflows, coordinating patients transitioning to inpatient care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across procedural and inpatient settings to ensure safe, efficient patient flow.
• Adapt to a fast-paced, high-variability environment with shifting assignments based on patient needs.
