Job summary

The Cardiac Transition Unit at UVA Health is hiring a Cardiac Cath Technician to support patients recovering from cardiovascular procedures. You will work with a multidisciplinary care team, performing hands-on patient care alongside skilled nurses and providers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting measurements, assisting with pre- and post-procedure care, helping with mobility, and coordinating with the RN to ensure smooth patient

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Experience: No experience required.
• Licensure: AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient weights.
• Ambulate patients and support safe mobility.
• Assist with specialized pre-procedure care.
• Assist with specialized post-procedural care.
• Partner with the assigned RN to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
• Support patient flow and maintain efficient unit operations.
