Job summary

The Cardiac Transition Unit at UVA Health in Charlottesville provides specialized care for patients recovering from cardiovascular procedures. The Cardiac Cath Technician collaborates with nurses and providers to support key phases of care using advanced clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Experience: No experience required.
• Licensure/Certification: AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document vital signs, input/output measurements, and patient weights.
• Ambulate patients and support safe mobility.
• Assist with specialized pre-procedure care.
• Assist with specialized post-procedural care.
• Collaborate with the RN to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
• Support patient flow and maintain efficient unit operations.

Education
