Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an experienced RN First Assistant to deliver safe, patient-family centered perioperative care. You will function as an RN first assistant during surgeries and as an RN circulator when needed, ensuring compliance with credentials, privileges, and competency verification.

The role requires a nursing degree, completion of an AORN RN First Assistant program, and 2 years perioperative RN/RNFA experience, plus Georgia RN licensure and CNOR/CRNFA where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program is required.
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program is required.
• 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience required.
• 3 years minimum experience as RN or Surgical Tech in the CVOR if working in the CVOR required.
• RN licensure in Georgia or NLC/eNCL Multistate licensure required.
• CNOR required; CRNFA required.
• BCLS, ACLS, and PALS required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR and perioperative services.
• Functions as an RN first assistant during operative and invasive procedures.
• Serve as an RN circulator when applicable.
• Maintain credentials, privileges, and competency verification in accordance with scope of practice.
