Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a skilled RN First Assistant to deliver safe, high-quality perioperative care across all patient populations. The role includes acting as an RN First Assistant in the OR and, when needed, as an RN Circulator throughout the perioperative continuum.

Required qualifications include graduation from a nursing program, completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, and active GA RN licensure with CNOR/CRNFA/BCLS/ACLS/PALS where applicable.

Qualifications

• 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience
• 3 years minimum experience as an RN or Surgical Tech in the CVOR if working in the CVOR
• RN licensure in Georgia (NLC/eNCL multistate)
• CNOR certification (if applicable)
• CRNFA certification
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS certifications

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR and other areas of perioperative services for all patient populations.
• Functions as an RN first assistant during operative and other invasive procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum in accordance with scope of practice credentials, privileges, experience, education and competency verification.
• At times is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR in the role of an RN circulator.
