Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an experienced RN First Assistant to deliver safe, effective perioperative care across all patient populations. The role includes acting as an RN first assistant during operative procedures and, when needed, as an RN circulator, in line with scope of practice credentials and competencies.

Requirements include a nursing degree, completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, GA RN licensure or NLC, and CNOR/CRNFA certification, with 2 years RN/RNFA

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program (Required).
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program (Required).
• 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience (Required).
• 3 years CVOR experience if working in the CVOR (Required).
• GA RN license or NLC/eNCL multistate license (Required).
• CNOR certification (Required).
• CRNFA certification (Required).
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (Required).

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR and perioperative areas.
• Functions as an RN first assistant during operative and invasive procedures.
• Occasionally serve as an RN circulator in the OR context.
