Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System seeks a Telemetry Monitoring Technician to coordinate and maintain advanced cardiac monitoring. You will interpret ECG rhythms, review alerts, and communicate findings to the healthcare team per department procedures.

The role requires completion of a telemetry education program or related experience, with the ability to sit/stand/walk extensively and operate the telemetry system efficiently.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Telemetry Monitoring Technician education program or 1 year related experience.
• Knowledge of ECG rhythms and monitoring systems, with trend/alarms review.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous surveillance and analysis of cardiac rhythms on the telemetry station.
• Escalate significant changes immediately to a Registered Nurse with clear communication.
• Operate, troubleshoot and log usage of telemetry monitoring system for all monitors.
• Admit, transfer and discharge patients; document in the telemetry system.
• Uphold service standards and contribute to a safe, compassionate patient experience.
