Qualifications

• Completion of a Telemetry Monitoring Technician education program or one year of related experience required.
• Licenses/Certifications: None.
• Knowledge of ECG rhythms and ability to review trends and alarms.

Responsibilities

• Provides continual surveillance and analysis of cardiac rhythms on the central monitoring station and documents per procedure.
• Escalates significant ECG changes immediately to a Registered Nurse and communicates clearly.
• Operates and troubleshoots all functions of the telemetry monitoring system and accounts for all monitors.
• Admits, transfers, and discharges patients and enters data in the telemetry system.
• Delivers high quality service and optimizes the patient experience.
• Supports professional growth and acts as preceptor/mentor to others.
