Qualifications

• Completion of a Telemetry Monitoring Technician education program or one year of related experience.
• Knowledge of ECG rhythms and monitoring system.
• Ability to review trends and alarms; ability to sit, stand, and walk as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous surveillance and analysis of cardiac rhythms on the telemetry system per established procedure; interpret ECG rhythms.
• Escalate significant or life-threatening changes to a Registered Nurse; communicate information clearly and promptly.
• Operate and troubleshoot the telemetry monitoring system; ensure all monitors are accounted for at end of shift.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge patients in the telemetry system; maintain accurate documentation.
• Uphold service standards and contribute to safe, compassionate patient care.
