Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Telemetry Monitoring Technician program completion or 1 year related experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: None.
• Experience/Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of ECG rhythms and monitoring systems; trend/alarm review.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous surveillance and analysis of cardiac rhythms on central monitoring; interpret rhythms.
• Escalate significant or life-threatening changes promptly to a Registered Nurse; communicate clearly.
• Obtain rhythm strips; operate and troubleshoot telemetry system; account for monitors at shift end.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge patients; enter information in telemetry monitoring system.
• Maintain service quality and patient experience per established standards.
• Complete MHHS dysrhythmia examination as required.
• Perform other duties within scope and competency.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and budgetary requirements; support education and mentoring.
