Job summary

Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care across our interdisciplinary team.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and ensure patient safety through evidence-based procedures and clear handoffs. A relocation package is available to eligible new hires.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• At least 1 year of RN experience on hire.
• RN license TX upon hire.
• BLS/CPR required within 14 days of hire.
• Competence in RN I performance expectations or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment & Care: conducts comprehensive assessments and notifies physicians of changes.
• Care Planning & Coordination: develops, directs, and evaluates individualized care plans with education and discharge planning.
• Treatment Implementation: prepares patients for procedures and administers physician orders with safety protocols.
• Ongoing Evaluation & Adjustment: reassesses patient responses and updates plans as needed.
• Effective Communication & Handoffs: uses Bedside Shift Report and provides thorough updates.
• Safety & Quality Assurance: maintains safe environment and participates in quality initiatives.
