Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• At least 1 year of RN experience upon hire.
• Registered Nurse license: TX upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification within 14 days of hire.
• Competence in RN I performance expectations or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment & Care: Conducts comprehensive assessments, provides holistic nursing care, and notifies physicians of significant changes.
• Care Planning & Coordination: Develops, directs, and evaluates individualized care plans, including patient/family education and discharge planning.
• Treatment Implementation: Prepares patients for procedures, follows physician orders, and ensures patient safety, including medication administration.
• Ongoing Evaluation & Adjustment: Reassesses patient responses, adapts care to changing needs, and communicates modifications to physicians.
• Effective Communication & Handoffs: Uses bedside shift reports, provides thorough patient updates, and delegates tasks for seamless care transitions.
• Safety & Quality Assurance: Maintains a safe environment and participates in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives.
