Job summary

Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care that improves patient outcomes and recovery.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence in patient care. Relocation assistance is available for eligible new hires.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• 1 year RN experience preferred.
• TX RN license upon hire.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• Competence in RN I performance expectations or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment & Care: Perform comprehensive assessments and notify physicians of changes.
• Care Planning & Coordination: Develop and evaluate individualized care plans with education and discharge planning.
• Treatment Implementation: Prepare patients for procedures and administer medications per physician orders.
• Ongoing Evaluation & Adjustment: Reassess responses and adjust care as needed with physician input.
• Effective Communication & Handoffs: Use bedside shift reports and provide thorough updates to the team.
• Safety & Quality Assurance: Maintain a safe environment and participate in quality initiatives.
