Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Advanced Cardiac Therapy (ACT) unit. This full-time night shift position (.9 FTE, 36 hours per week) features new pay rates for 2026 and a welcome bonus eligible up to $35,000.

The ACT team cares for heart failure patients, rhythm monitoring, and post-heart attack recovery with strong leadership and teamwork. You will provide patient-centered care and collaborate with physicians and staff.

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care in accordance with nursing process and policies.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings; reports changes to care team.
• Provides age-appropriate care using knowledge of human growth and development.
• Administers medications, monitors side effects, and documents administration.
• Assists physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Collaborates to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR/code team activities.
• Advocates for patient rights and educates patients and families.
• Implements infection control protocols and maintains patient safety.
• Operates medical equipment and monitors patient status as needed.
• Participates in audits, chart reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Documents care thoroughly in the medical record and maintains professional development.
• Telemetry RN: track heart rhythms, analyze trends, provide direct patient care, and respond to emergencies.
