Job summary

Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Telemetry 5A unit. This full-time role is 0.9 FTE (36 hours/week) with days 7a-7p and a welcome bonus eligible up to $35,000.

The RN delivers patient-centered care using the nursing process, coordinates with physicians and the care team, and monitors telemetry to detect changes, administer medications, educate families, and uphold safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care.
• RN license and BCLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process.
• Monitor telemetry (EKG), vitals, and patient condition; report changes promptly.
• Administer medications and document in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team for care plans.
• Educate patients and families; uphold safety and infection control standards.
• Participate in performance improvement and compliance activities.
