Job summary

Baptist Health in Lexington, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular, Thoracic Telemetry unit (4G), a 20-bed unit focused on post-op CABG, cardiac surgery, CHF and chest pain management. You will perform direct patient care, rounds and coordinated treatment planning.

Licensure in Kentucky is required, with a BSN or ADN. BLS must be obtained within 30 days if not already held; ACLS/PALS/NRP and dysrhythmia training are required per department.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Kentucky is required.
• Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university is required.
• Those with an associate degree must enroll in a bachelor's degree within 12 months and achieve the degree within 5 years.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification must be completed within 30 days of hire if not already held.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP and dysrhythmia class as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide direct patient care on the Cardiovascular, Thoracic Telemetry unit.
• Conduct nursing rounds, assessments and treatments.
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities.
• Provide patient and family-centered education.
• Perform care coordination and individualized treatment planning.
