Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) for Cardiac Telemetry on a 24-hr care unit. Roles include day and night shifts, with sign-on bonuses and a hands-on training path.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPTC certification, or enrollment in a healthcare career program.
• Experience: No prior experience required.
• Certifications: BLS within one month of hire.
• PCA training: 175-hour program within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs and enter data into the EMR.
• Assist patients with daily needs (meals, bathing, toileting, mobility).
• Provide clerical support as needed.
• PCA duties include those plus phlebotomy, wound care, enteral feedings, IV/ Foley care, and tracheostomy care per role.
