Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) / Patient Care Technician (PCT) for Medical 7 West. This 30-bed unit cares for adults with telemetry monitoring, offering opportunities to develop skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, acute medical care, and fast-paced patient management.

Location: Mercy Hospital South – St. Louis, MO. Schedule options include Part-Time (24 hrs/wk) and Full-Time (36 hrs/wk), Day and Night shifts.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPTC, or enrollment in a healthcare career program.
• Experience: No prior experience required.
• Physical: lift up to 50 lbs; prolonged standing and walking; bending and squatting.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs and data entry into the EMR.
• Assist patients with daily needs (meals, bathing, toileting, mobility, transport).
• Provide clerical support as needed.
