Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join the Cardiac Neuro-Acute Tele team. The role supports patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care under the direction of the RN in charge of the unit.

Candidates should have current CNA certification, BLS, phlebotomy and EKG certifications preferred, plus high school diploma. Minimum six months acute care experience recommended; generous benefits and a comprehensive Total Rewards

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification on hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification on hire, preferred.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living and basic nursing care under supervision of RN.
• Maintains a safe environment and supports unit operations under the team lead.
