Job summary

The Assistant Nurse Operations Manager (ANOM) at Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital leads the designated unit's nursing practice and operations, partnering with the Nursing Operations Manager to ensure patient experience, budget, HR activities, and quality outcomes.

This role requires strong leadership, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to coordinate staffing, patient flow, and provider communications to support safe, high‑quality care in a large acute‑care setting.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN/DNP preferred.
• Two years of experience as an RN in an acute setting.
• Current Alabama RN licensure or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). Required BLS; ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC.

Responsibilities

• Shared 24/7 accountability with Nursing Operations Manager.
• Recruitment and selection of new team members.
• Coordinate with HR on corrective action and career advancement.
• Investigate event reports and provide feedback.
• Oversee unit schedules to ensure proper staff mix per shift.
• Maintain patient flow and intervene to meet outcomes.
• Lead staff meetings and gemba/huddles; mentor staff.
