Responsibilities

• Admit and discharge patients from the cardiac monitoring system under supervision of the Charge RN.
• Communicate observed rhythms to nursing staff when requested or when changes occur.
• Print and interpret rhythm strips; file strips with Unit Secretary per policy.
• Maintain continuous monitoring for patients on cardiac telemetry and manage alarms per policy.
• Input billing information for telemetry and other patient charges.
