Qualifications

• Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire
• IV Certification within 6 months of hire
• Patient Care Delivery
• The ability to work well under pressure, to function dependently and independently and to be flexible in applying basic nursing knowledge to a variety of settings.

Responsibilities

• Collects data on all patients within appropriate time of admission using observation and examination skills.
• Revises the patient’s care plan on an individual basis.
• Assists with patient teaching, discharge and post-discharge needs as appropriate.
• Functions independently with treatments, procedures and equipment.
• Monitors and reports patient’s condition and modifies plan of care as needed.
• Documents accurately and timely.
