Job summary

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Lawrenceburg in Lawrenceburg, TN, seeks a Med Surg LPN to join our night shift team. The role is full-time on a 3x12 schedule with rotating weekends, requiring compassionate patient care and adherence to care plans.

Under supervision of a registered nurse, you will perform assessments, collect data, assist with activities of daily living, administer medications, and support care coordination in a fast-paced Med/Surg unit.

Qualifications

• Current Tennessee or compact state LPN license.
• Completion of a Practical Nursing Program.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 7 days of hire.
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assists in data collection for RN assessment.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
• Documents patient care and assists with plan of care development.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, nutrition, ambulation).
• Monitors and communicates patient status to RN, physician, and families.
• Advocates for patient physical and emotional well-being.
