Job summary

Sanford Health seeks a Cardiac Technologist to perform invasive cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures using advanced imaging and monitoring equipment. You will contribute to diagnosing and treating cardiac and vascular conditions in a supportive, team-focused environment.

The role requires an associate degree in cardiovascular technology or equivalent, RCIS certification within 12 months in some locations, and ACLS within 6 months. PALS may be required depending on the position.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in cardiovascular technology or equivalent experience is required.
• Expert knowledge in cardiovascular technology, including pharmacology and advanced cardiac rhythm management.
• Thorough understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, hemodynamic principles, X-ray techniques, and emergent and routine cardiac care.
• RCIS certification within 12 months of hire is preferred in locations.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire; PALS if applicable is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs invasive cardiac, peripheral vascular diagnostic, interventional and electrophysiology procedures using imaging and monitoring equipment.
• Assesses and treats cardiac and peripheral vascular disease.
• Collaborates with care teams and maintains equipment and protocols.
• Ensures patient safety and applies pharmacologic options as needed.
