UF Health in Florida seeks an Advanced Practice Provider V with cardiothoracic surgery expertise. The role provides direct patient care under a supervising physician, focusing on invasive monitoring, operative assistance, and critical care management, including ICU support and complex procedures.

The APP will perform histories, physicals, postoperative care, and patient education, while teaching nursing staff and residents and contributing to quality improvement initiatives in a high-acuity

Qualifications

• 2 years cardiothoracic surgical experience.
• Masters degree in PA or NP is required.
• PA or APRN licensure required at time of hire.
• BCLS/ACLS/PALS certifications required at time of hire.

Responsabilités

• Endoscopic saphenous vein harvesting and related vascular procedures.
• Invasive monitoring and placement of arterial/central lines; chest tube management; IABP/central lines.
• Perform histories/examinations and pre/postoperative care under physician supervision.
• Manage ICU patient care including hemodynamics and ventilators.
• Assume first assist role in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries; respond to emergencies.
• Educate nurses, residents, and fellows; participate in quality improvement.
