Job summary

University of Florida Jacksonville Physicians, Inc. seeks an Advanced Practice Provider IV (APP IV) licensed in Florida and/or Georgia to deliver direct patient care across inpatient, critical care, clinics, operating room, labor & delivery, and emergency settings under supervision of a licensed physician.

The role involves performing high‑complexity procedures, patient evaluation, comprehensive care planning, education, and collaboration with physicians, pharmacists, and staff.

Qualifications

• Active APRN or PA license in Florida and/or Georgia
• BCLS required at time of hire
• ACLS preferred; PALS preferred
• New orthopedic graduates must acquire a DEA within 90 days of hire
• Master’s degree in PA training or NP required

Responsibilities

• Performs or assists with high‑complexity procedures in various settings; call coverage may be required
• Provides education and instruction; monitors devices and manages perioperative care
• Conducts high‑level evaluation and triage with histories, exams, labs, and treatment decisions
• Develops comprehensive health‑management plans with physicians, pharmacists, and other professionals
• Contributes to program development, research activities, and quality‑improvement projects
• Documents clinical information accurately in EMR and billing processes
• Educates and counsels patients and families on health care and preventive care
• Responds to consults, manages discharge planning, and schedules procedures
• Participates in interdisciplinary meetings and committees
