Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health in Evanston is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac/Stroke unit on the night shift. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, with hours 7:00 pm to 7:30 am and weekends rotating.

You will provide comprehensive nursing care to diverse patient populations and participate in forming the care plan within a dynamic cardiovascular/stroke program. The ideal candidate will hold a BSN (preferred), IL RN license, and BLS/CPR certification, with about 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN degree preferred.
• License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required.
• Certification: BLS/CPR certification required.
• Experience: 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to all patient populations in the department.
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• Maintain regulatory compliance in individual practice.
• Assume responsibility, accountability and authority for outcomes of nursing care.
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering patient care.
• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience.
