Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Cardiac Stepdown Nurse to provide direct patient care within the RN scope. The role emphasizes therapeutic communication, safety, and interdisciplinary collaboration to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities include clinical assessment, medication administration, monitoring, and patient-family education as part of a multidisciplinary care plan. 1 year of clinical nursing experience is preferred, with ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure with Tennessee Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• One year of clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess plans and evaluate patient care needs; carry out physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, cleanse wounds and monitor vital signs.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation.
• Educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care planning team.
