Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospital in Richmond, VA is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse for Cardiac Stepdown to coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers.

You will perform pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, document care in the medical record, administer medications, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• RN (Registered Nurse) qualification required
• RN Diploma required

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes
• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by the medical provider
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and accurately
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients
