Job summary

Portsmouth Regional Hospital, part of the HCA Healthcare family, seeks a Progressive Care Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the cardiac stepdown unit. Working with medical providers, you’ll support pre-operative and post-operative care and advocate for patients to ensure an exceptional experience.

You’ll perform assessments, document care, administer medications, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of cardiac care and instrumentation.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• New Hampshire (RN) Registered Nurse license required
• Associate Degree of Nursing required

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients
