Job summary

Tennova Healthcare- North Knoxville Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care. The role involves assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a safe care environment.

Under RN/LPN supervision, the PCT will help with mobility, meals, hygiene, and documentation, while adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• Basic knowledge of patient care practices and equipment.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated basic patient care services and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Collect and record patient data such as vital signs and intake/output and report to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support patients with meals, bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance; use of mobility aids as needed.
• Communicate patient information effectively to the care team and maintain confidentiality.
