Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center is seeking a Cardiac Stepdown Nurse to deliver direct patient care within the Registered Nurse scope. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care, ensuring safety and quality in a fast-paced cardiovascular setting.

The role requires active RN licensure in Tennessee, BLS certification, and ACLS within 6 months of hire. Prior cardiac stepdown or similar experience is preferred; commitment to Parkridge’s mission is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse from accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure with Tennessee Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• One year of clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and carry out physician orders.
• Administer medications, change dressings, cleanse wounds, monitor vital signs.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition using electronic records.
• Educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care planning team.
