Job summary

CHS Career Site seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care across the nursing process in an acute care setting in Knoxville, TN. You will coordinate care with physicians and the healthcare team, document assessments, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires 0-2 years of nursing experience, current TN (or compact) license, and BCLS certification; ACLS/PALS are preferred depending on unit requirements.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• RN license current in state of Tennessee or compact state.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) required.
• ACLS/PALS/Nrp are preferred per unit guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Documents assessments and reports changes in condition.
• Administers medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within scope of competency.
• Collaborates to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in CPR/code team activities.
• Educates patients and families on conditions, treatment, and discharge plans.
• Maintains infection control practices and uses medical equipment safely.
• Documents care thoroughly in the medical record.
• Participates in audits, performance improvement, and policy adherence.
