Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within the RN scope, ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment and participating in interdisciplinary care planning.

You will assess and implement plans, administer medications and wound care, monitor vital signs, document using computerized systems, and educate patients and families with the Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with licensure in Tennessee required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications or within 6 months of hire.
• At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess plans and evaluate patient care needs and carry out physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.
