Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale in Sunnyvale, TX is seeking a Step Down Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Specialty Unit. You will use the nursing process to deliver developmentally appropriate care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive plans.

Requirements include TX RN license, 2+ years in critical care, and BLS/ACLS. CCRN preferred; strong communication in English and basic computer skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current State of Texas RN license.
• Two or more years of recent critical care experience.
• Current AHA BLS Certification.
• Current AHA ACLS Certification.
• CCRN preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Specialty Unit.
• Coordinate care plans with the patient, family, and health-care team.
• Document patient encounters accurately and protect patient health information.
• Oversee patient care team and ensure safety, quality, and infection control.
• Educate patients, families, and team members on care plans and treatments.
• Collaborate with clinicians to develop and implement care plans.
