Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach is seeking an experienced RN for the Cardiac Step Down unit to monitor telemetry, care for post-surgical patients, and manage cardiovascular therapies. You will assess, document, and respond to patient conditions with a focus on safety and education for families.

Competenze

• Current Florida Nursing License.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• 2+ years in cardiac telemetry/step-down nursing.

Mansioni

• Maintains annual clinical competence in telemetry care for patients with open heart surgery and vasoactive meds.
• Assesses clinical, diagnostic, and lab data to guide care.
• Monitors hemodynamics and responds per interdisciplinary plan of care.
• Performs tracheostomy care per policy and procedure.
• Provides patient/family teaching related to cardiac procedures and recovery.
• Interprets ABG results and intervenes appropriately.
• Assists with cardioversion and management of arrhythmias.
• Administers IV therapies within policy and documents responses.
• Transports patients with cardiac monitor and meds as needed.
• Performs wound care and dressing changes using aseptic technique.
