Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in Florida's Treasure Coast is recruiting an enthusiastic RN for the 5 East Cardiac Stepdown Unit. This unit provides acuity telemetry and medical care to a diverse patient population, with a focus on compassionate, high-quality care.

You will participate in direct nursing care, develop and update care plans, monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS Certification through AHA or Red Cross
• One year of acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
