Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Step-down/telemetry, ICU, or medical-surgical experience preferred.
• Strong cardiac monitoring and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and closely monitor patient conditions.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygenation, and clinical parameters.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments.
• Manage telemetry patients and increased clinical monitoring needs.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Provide wound care and nursing interventions as needed.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment and discharge needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

RN Medical Step-Down

Provide specialized nursing care to patients requiring closer monitoring than a general medical-surgical unit. The Medical Step-Down RN will monitor complex medical conditions, administer treatments, recognize changes in patient status, and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and closely monitor patient conditions.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygenation, and other clinical parameters.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments.
• Manage patients requiring telemetry, oxygen therapy, and increased clinical monitoring.
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Provide wound care and other nursing interventions as needed.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medications, and discharge needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow infection control, safety, and nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Previous step-down, progressive care, telemetry, ICU, or medical-surgical experience preferred.
• Strong cardiac monitoring, assessment, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple complex patients in a fast-paced environment.
