Job summary

Virginia Heart is seeking a dependable Nuclear Medicine Technologist for our Dulles outpatient imaging team. You will perform Cardiac SPECT myocardial perfusion imaging, ensure patient comfort, and maintain high-quality imaging protocols.

The role supports coverage at our Arlington location as needed and offers a stable, outpatient schedule. The ideal candidate will hold NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification, Virginia licensure, and have strong knowledge of nuclear medicine principles with a focus on

Qualifications

• Cardiac SPECT imaging experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine principles and radiation safety.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality Cardiac SPECT myocardial perfusion imaging per protocol.
• Educate, position, and monitor patients during imaging and stress testing.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately.
• Operate gamma camera systems and perform daily QC.
• Review images for technical quality and troubleshoot when needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and imaging systems.
• Follow radiation safety and infection control procedures.
• Support scanner readiness and inventory management.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient workflow.
• Provide occasional coverage at Arlington imaging location as needed.
