Virginia Heart in Dulles, VA, seeks a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform Cardiac SPECT MPI imaging at outpatient centers, with cross-training in Cardiac PET/CT and coverage across Falls Church, Leesburg, Arlington, and Stone Springs.

Qualifications

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or ARRT(N) is required.
• ARRT CT or NMTCB CT certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Experience in SPECT MPI imaging required.
• Experience in PET imaging preferred—cross-training available for transition to PET/CT.
• Experience in cardiac PET preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Cardiac SPECT MPI imaging following departmental protocols.
• Explain SPECT procedures and stress testing to patients.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately.
• Operate gamma camera and perform daily quality control.
• Document procedures, doses, and patient records in the EMR.
• Prepare, position, and monitor patients during imaging.
• Maintain radiation safety documentation and support emergency protocols.
• Assist with daily setup, inventory, and scanner readiness.
• Collaborate with providers and team to ensure smooth workflow.
• Cross-train to perform Cardiac PET/CT studies and cover PET imaging as needed.
